SH18 Shows a split hip and loin strap on a Breeching I made that is not neccesarily traditional to Heavy Horse Harness but is traditional to two wheel gigs. It is traditional to make a set of Harness that should in most cases, match the style of vehicle as well as the horse. These days Tradition can be upheld to many degree's, but there needs to be room to move forward with the times.

The benefit of a split Hip and Loin strap on a Breeching for a Heavy Horse being driven to a two wheeled gig is that you do not get the Breeching bounce and slap that a longer, heavier pairs Breeching can have when in a TwoWheeler.
